About us:

After being asked to design doll clothes by my daughters and their friends,

I realized that I was really enjoying what I was doing.

Then the stores stopped carrying fun items for playing with dolls and stuffed animals.

Now, I did find places to purchase items; however, it became costly and I decided parents needed a less expensive option. That is how For The Hope Chest got it's start.

It is a Mom and Daughter business andwe have a lot of fun it with together. They are very creative and play with a lot of imagination.

So, my wish is, for our imagination to touch yours and your loved ones.

Maybe some of these items will end up in their hope chests

for their children to play with one day.

Diane-The Mom

I design and fabricate the majority of the doll clothes and stuffed animal clothes on this site. All the items I make contain a little gold or silver heart, which shows it is made with love, by myself. All of our items come from a non-smoking and pet free environment. We recycle buttons, quilters scraps, trims and jeans, turning them into wonderful new creations.

I love making and designing all the wonderful outfits and accessories. Previously, I worked as the Assistant Manager for a popular clothing store and loved seeing all the new styles that came out with each season. We used to talk about what we would add or change.

Then I found out I had an aneurysm on my opthalmic artery, and my world flipped upside down. I was very lucky because it had not ruptured or burst. I was able to have the brain surgery. Thanks to my wonderful doctors, family and friends, I have had a pretty miraculous recovery. I do have a few side effects from the stroke I had afterwards and do still tire quickly.

I will not be returning to my previous career. I decided to find one I could do from my home, on my own conditions and which would allow more time for my family.
